Kuna Parks and Rec Building ‘Splash Pad’
It would be great to have a pool in your backyard, but that's probably not gonna happen, right? Well lucky for water lovers like you and me, our amazing Treasure Valley cities have created really great areas of fun for the whole family to enjoy without the need for a home remodel. Kuna will soon be the latest city to offer a place where you and the kiddos to cool off in the Summer months.
Kuna's Parks and Recreation Department has announced the construction of new 'Splash Pad' on the Greenbelt by the fields off Linder and Swan Falls Rd.
What's a Splash Pad? According to Parks and Rec. Director, Bobby Withrow, it's basically an "urban beach where kids can run through, under and over spraying water." The one in Kuna will be wheelchair accessible, and cater to all ages, from toddlers to teens to big kids like you and me!
This project is being funded by Kuna’s General fund and will be FREE for the public to use. If you're ready to go and get your swimsuit on already, don't worry. You don't have to wait too long. With construction already underway, they're looking to have the project finished by the end of May or early June.
