ISP Trooper Stops Vehicle on Southern Idaho Highway Driving Against Traffic

The incident happened on February 9th and was shared by the ISP on their social media. A video from Facebook shows the trooper driving down Interstate 84 in Meridian. The trooper found an opening in the concrete barrier and turned around to face the vehicle head-on and stop it.

It looks like the vehicle stopped without causing any accidents or striking the ISP vehicle. 13 seconds into this video, you can see the white truck driving the wrong direction as the trooper passes it before he’s able to turn around.

The driver was arrested for reckless driving. This was the second wrong-way driver in the last week. The previous driver caused a fatal accident not far from Meridian in Nampa.
