It has been a big year for foodies in the Treasure Valley and we're only at the start of October!

In 'this economy', running local business is harder than ever. People are feeling the pinch at the gas pump and just about everywhere. It's tough to not just pick and find the 'cheapest' deal for everything.

Unless something is that special.

In the Treasury Valley, we're lucky to be home to some great local business that will always trump the national chains moving into town on a monthly basis.

One local restaurant, The Protein Spot, has shared news that the brand will be expanding and locals are HERE FOR IT.

In a release on social media from The Protein Spot,

BIG NEWS. The Protein Spot is growing!  We’re opening a NEW location on Federal Way! But this one is going to look a little different from the Protein Spot you already know.  Think more of a Protein Spot café experience!

When you hear a name like 'The Protein Spot', it's pretty easy to assume it's a place that only caters to gym junkies and muscle heads.

That couldn't be further from the truth.

Since opening their full restaurant on Broadway Avenue, the restaurant has proven that serving simple, real food is actually pretty popular for folks just wanting to eat a little better.

Owners say that the concept opening on Federal Way will be little different, and list Acai bowls, baked good, and protein froyo as just a few of their 'new twists'. They also say you can expect the concept to open this month!
