I Took the Risk of Ordering my Couch Online…Did it Work Out?
I took a big risk as I moved into my new house. I had to replace my couch and I couldn't find anything here in Boise, so I did the unthinkable and ordered it online. So, it's here now, and do I like it?
Yes. I love it.
I'm surprised, to be honest, that it worked out. I didn't anticipate it would. In fact, as I was making my purchase on wayfair.com, the most important and in-depth research I did was on the criteria and cost of returns.
I was skeptical that it would arrive and I wouldn't like the look. Maybe the fabric would be funky, or it wouldn't be comfortable. Maybe it just wouldn't fit the space in the end (even though I had the dimensions and had measured more than a few times).
It arrived Friday night, and though it had been delayed a couple times and we had a couple hiccups on delivery (they missed their window by a few hours), once it was in the house the set up was relatively easy.
I was so relieved as I opened the first box and felt the soft fabric which, magically, was the exact color I hoped it would be from seeing it online.
It framed my space perfectly, and even made for a really comfortable four hour talk with someone special later that night.
The only downside I've arrived at with ordering your couch online?
The cleanup. So many boxes. So much packing material.
Overall though, it was a great experience, and I'm loving my new living room.
