I-84 Detour One Night This Week for Utility Work

The construction season in the Treasure Valley continues as the Idaho Department of Transportation has released information about I-84 being closed one overnight later this week in Nampa.

Interstate 84 between the Karcher/Midland and Northside interchanges will be closed from 10 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22nd until 5 a.m. on Thursday, May 23rd. The crews will need to shut down the Interstate so they can remove power lines that are currently above the highway.

A detour route will be in place and motorists will need to exit I-84 and follow a detour along Karcher road. There will be flaggers in place to direct traffic throughout the closure.

This is just another project that needs to be completed as work continues on widening I-84 in this location. If bad weather is in the forecast they will need to reschedule this project, fingers crossed they can make this happen quickly and efficiently.
