Think you can handle 24 hours of straight scary movies? I'd like to think I could. Of course if by scary movies we mean Casper, Hocus Pocus, and Halloweentown. If you're up for the challenge, you could get paid $1,000 to do so!

This Halloween, CableTV.com and HighSpeedInternet.com are partnering up to run a promotion that will award one horror fan with the dream Halloween job of watching scary movies on loop for 24 hours straight. That's approximately 12 scary movies back-to-back-to-back!

I will throw my two cents in here and say to not underestimate this job. Consuming horror content for that many hours straight seems like it may be pretty mentally and emotionally draining. I mean I watched the entire Hunger Games series in one setting and the violence was simply too much for my mental. The convenient part is though, the viewer will be able to pick the movies and the streaming service. So maybe Casper does count!

The only additional thing you would be asked to do throughout the marathon is to tweet updates on the movies as you watch, documenting which movies are the scariest. I do that anyway, let's be honest.

CableTV and HighSpeedInternet are also giving the winner a "Welcome Package," which includes candy and a bonus $50 Starbucks gift card to help the viewer stay awake during this all-nighter.

If you're the ultimate horror fan and you're interested in entering the contest, you can apply at HighSpeedInternet.com. You have until the end of the day on October 19th to do so. Those who apply must live in the US and be at least 18 years old. Prospective participants are also asked to submit a 100-word bio on what makes them the "perfect horror-flick aficionado."
