Oasis Yoga Studio is hosting a Vinyasa Britney Spears inspired yoga session on July 31st starting at 6pm. Of course this is a free class to all member and even non-members. As Oasis says, "somethings should be free," just like the pop queen Britney Spears herself.

Unless you've been living under a rock, you know about Britney's heated and long-over-due battle for her personal rights and to finally end her abusive conservatorship. For the past 13 years of her life Britney Spears has lived against her will under a conservatorship, which is a legal structure in which a person’s personal, economic, and legal decision-making power is under the control of another person or group of people.

Britney's case has the entire legal system questioning the flaws of all conservatorships and the abuse that they can so commonly result in. Usually conservatorships are put in place for elderly people or developmentally disabled adults  - not someone who had a justifiable mental breakdown more than a decade ago.

The mantra of the free yoga class being offered by Oasis yoga studio is to hold compassion for your freedom as it is not always free. According to Oasis yoga studio, The #FreeBritney movement is a reminder that we never know what someone else may be going through and to leave our opinions and judgements at the door. Instead, we should focus on uplifting each other and ourselves.

Oasis Yoga Studio is located in Kuna and offers classes matching three different yoga styles as well as hot yoga. Sign up here for #FreeBritney Free Yoga before the class caps off.
