Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles...does the hair on your neck stand up when we say the words "Build-A-Bear?"

You've had almost two months to recover from the great "Pay Your Age Day Fiasco" of July 2018, but we understand if the thought of standing in another monster line at Boise Towne Square Mall still raises your blood pressure.  The well intentioned promotion crippled malls around the country, but families lucky enough to be in line before they were cut off got to enjoy a great experience with their kids and the Build-A-Bear family. At the end of the day, it was heart warming to hear stories like how the "Pay Your Age Day" promotion was the only way for a single mom to include all of her kids in the experience and still have a enough money left over to pay for their back to school supplies/clothes that they really needed.

The creative minds at Build-A-Bear didn't want to give up building these types of memories for families, so they went back to the drawing board to figure out how to improve the experience.  Enter National Teddy Bear Day 2018! On Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9, guests who spend at least $15 in the store get to stuff and take home a free National Teddy Bear Day bear.

They've thought out the lines this time.  To take advantage of this offer you must join their FREE Build-A-Bear Bonus Club and reserve a ticket for which day you plan on coming by with your child to build a new friend. The tickets are limited and once they're gone, they're gone.  You have until 10:59 p.m. MDT on Wednesday, September 5 to reserve your ticket through this Build-A-Bear landing page.  They'll be e-mailed you on Friday, September 7.

If you arrive and the line is overwhelming, they'll let you take teddy home and come back to stuff him another day. The $15 you spend in-store needs to be on a qualifying item like outfits or accessories.  Gift cards and parties aren't part of the promotion.

Impact Beyond the Mall

As part of their National Teddy Bear Day celeBEARations, Build-A-Bear teamed up with Southwest Airlines to donate nearly 20,000 bears to local Ronald McDonald House Charities, Make-A-Wish chapters and hospitals associated with Southwest's Medical Transportation Grant Program.
