This just proves that it doesn't matter who you are or what you do if you are caught drinking and driving in the state of Idaho there will be serious consequences for your actions. Boise Police Detective Jim Adams has been placed on paid suspension following his arrest on a DUI charge that took place Sunday, August 23rd by the Canyon County Sheriff's Office.

We got the tip from our friends at KTVB, that Det. Adams is a 16-year veteran of the Boise Police Department and was off-duty as well as driving his own personal vehicle when he was contacted by authorities.

Det. Adams did immediately contact his commanding officers about the arrest, and was placed on paid suspension the same day. His next court date is set for October 25th and the Boise Police is doing their own internal review of the situation on top of the criminal case.
