Dignified Idaho Living: free medicine & baby formula for struggling moms
Free Medicine & Healthcare for Idaho Families
If you’re a single mom struggling to provide medicine, medical care, food and formula for your little ones, there’s loads of help here in Idaho.
Organizations like NeedyMeds.org and the Partnership for Prescription Assistance are dedicated to helping low-income moms and families get the meds they need. Several of our friends, neighbors, and coworkers who've turned to NeedyMeds say it's a treasure trove of information on programs that provide low-cost and no-cost prescriptions.
Meanwhile, the Partnership for Prescription Assistance provides participants with a direct connection to programs offering free medicine. These resources are perfect for Idaho families who need a little extra help keeping their children healthy during difficult seasons of their lives.
Food & Housing Insecurity
Few things are scarier than the inability to feed your newborn. Baby formula is ridiculously expensive, and sadly, many Idaho families just can't afford it. Fortunately, however, incredible resources like the Idaho Food Bank are at the ready to lend a hand. Along with nutrition education, IFB has delivered millions of meals on its mission to end food insecurity for Idahoans of all ages.
If you and your child don't have a safe place sleep tonight, reach out to CATCH Idaho (Charitable Assistance to the Community's Homeless). This beloved nonprofit "exists because everyone needs a home." They assist residents with shelter and other needs, helping to ensure your family has the support they need to thrive.
Organizations like these have been lifesavers for Idaho moms who need support ensuring the health, safety, and stability of their little ones.
Support & Assistance
Unsure of what to do? Take a deep breath, momma. A phone call to United Way’s 2-1-1 line is a simple, stress-free starting point. In 2002, United Way of Treasure Valley and the state Department of Health and Welfare teamed up to help Idahoans in need.
From healthcare to housing assistance and more, the 2-1-1 team is available 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday. They're also proud partners with Governor’s Coordinating Council for Families & Children, ID Dept. of Health & Welfare, Junior League of Boise, Mountain States Group, Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Sprint, Edge, Cricket, AT&T Wireless, and Community Action Partnership.

We know we could never understood the depths of your struggle. It would be careless and shallow of us to presume as much. But no matter what you're dealing with or going through right now, know we believe in you and we're cheering you on, Idaho Momma.
