The 2020-21 Boise Sate Men's Basketball team has been a special one producing a historic season. Unfortunately no fans have been allowed to cheer on Broncos and witness this record-breaking season in person, until now.

Boise State University announced on Tuesday that about 900 fans will be permitted into ExtraMile Arena to attend the men's basketball matchup versus the Utah State Aggies on Wednesday and Friday this week. About 200 tickets will also be set aside for students. Boise State athletic director Jeramiah Dickey confirmed the university's plan has been approved by health experts.

This plan requires fans in attendance to have to sit in their assigned seats in order to accommodate for social distancing. There will be no seating area on the floor level. Fans will also be required to mask up in addition to undergoing a health screening including a temperature check prior to entrance into the arena. Staff and student-athletes will continue be tested before each game as well. Concessions inside the arena will also be unavailable.

Tickets will cost fans between $30-40 and will be first offered to members of the Bronco Athletic Association and season ticket holders. Any remaining tickets will then be sold to the general public.

“This is a team that our fans deserve to see play in person, and our student-athletes deserve the opportunity to play in front of Bronco Nation,” head coach Leon Rice said in a statement. “I’m grateful for this opportunity, and I’m appreciative that our health and wellness team has put together a plan that allows us to play in a safe environment.”

The men's basketball program is 16-4 this season and 9-0 at home. The Broncos will play the Utah State Aggies at 7 p.m. on Feb. 17 and at 8 p.m. on Feb. 19.
