BSU to Debut Family Friendly Tailgate Area at First Game
Ever go to a college tailgate? They're fun, buuuuuut maybe not the most ideal for a family with younger kids. So what do you do? Well, thanks to BSU's goal to "boost fans' pregame experiences", you have a place to go with the kiddos. According to KTVB, Boise State has announced plans to transform DeChevrieux Field (Bronco's practice field near Albertson's Stadium) into the Ford Tailgate Zone.
Within this new tailgate space (set to debut on Sept. 8), you and the family can enjoy a family-friendly atmosphere three hours before kickoff with " large-screen TVs featuring top games across the country, along with food trucks and more amenities." Yet another change is slated after the Ford Tailgate Zone premieres, the famous 'Bronco Walk' will go march straight through DeChevrieux Field instead of going down University Ave.
The tailgate space (which is also private and corporate-friendly) will also give kids an opportunity to "meet some of our other sports teams", inflatables, climbing walls and different activities for kids.
The Boise State Broncos will take on the UCONN Huskies on Saturday, September 8 at Albertson's Stadium with kickoff at 8:15 p.m.
