Two nearly impossible events occurred in the opening weekend of March Madness a few weeks ago…for the first time in history, a 16 seed beat a #1 seed. If that wasn’t enough, because of that nearly impossible event happening, a second nearly impossible event is now happening today…..FREE PIZZA FOR EVERYONE!

That’s right because of NCAA March Madness Tournament, Little Caesars is offering a free pizza to everyone in Idaho and also everyone in the United States.

Wow what a great country we live in.

On Friday (3/16) Little Caesars pizza chain made their nearly impossible promise on Twitter:

“If a #16 BEATS a #1 in men's basketball TONIGHT, you could score a @LittleCaesars Lunch Combo!”

The Virginia Cavaliers, seeded No. 1 overall out of 64 teams blew up everyone’s bracket by being eliminated from the tournament by a team that most of us had never even heard of…and it wasn’t even close…they blew out the Cavaliers by 20 points. UMBC's Cinderella run came to an end on Sunday when they lost to Kansas State.

Despite the heartbreak of mine and everybody else's broken bracket, Little Caesars does give us a little to cheer about…however, I don’t believe Virginia can take much solace in their loss just by getting a free pizza, but who knows, maybe they did it on purpose.

The nationwide chain will honor its pizza promise all day on Monday, April 2nd!
