The awful accident that sent several to the hospital and claimed the lives of four people has now led to the Cloverdale overpass to be closed 'indefinitely.' According to KTVB, the crash that involved seven vehicles and created a very scary fiery scene on EB I-84 on Sunday caused damage to the overpass that has led officials to close it until repairs can be made.

According to KTVB, Idaho Transportation Department officials have said that it is safe to drive under the overpass on I-84, but their plans are to remove the section that is damaged. Those repairs could take months to perform. However, they hope to have the project done as quickly as possible with an 'emergency contract'.

The Ada County Coroner confirmed this morning that there four fatalities, although the identities have not been revealed. However, Mountain Home Air Force Base released a statement earlier today stating "that three of the people involved were airmen stationed in Mountain Home." According to KTVB, officials have not yet confirmed that statement, or have specified if those airmen were among the deceased or injured.
