While I have never heard of an event like this, it's a great idea being put on by the City of Nampa. On Saturday, September 14, 2019 they will be hosting a used tire drive.

When I did a ride-along with the Nampa Police Department I learned that there are Police Volunteers that hit the streets multiple times a week to check up on city code violations such as having too many vehicles surrounding your house or collecting old tires making an eye sore for your neighbors.

This is a perfect opportunity to get rid of any used tires you have just taking up space. The event is taking place from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on a first come, first serve basis while space is still available.

Here are the guidelines set for the event:

  • Must be a Nampa resident (bring utility bill to show proof).
  • This used tire drive is for automotive tires only
  • Tires need to be clean
  • No commercial tires will be accepted
  • Tires must be removed from rims

The tire drop off location will be: 106 West Railroad Street, Nampa, ID 83687.
