Boise: a name so nice, they used it twice

Huh?

It's hard to believe, but it's true. Apparently, Idaho isn't the only state with a city named Boise, and we've got some spicy thoughts about it.

The "Other" Boise 🙄

Boise #2 lives 1,109 miles away in Oklahoma, but the distance hasn't made our great grow fonder. If anything, we're low-key annoyed with our copycat southeast of us.

Founded in 1908, Boise City, Oklahoma copped our Boise's name 44 years after we claimed it. Who does that? And don't even us get us started on the pathetic "city" they tacked on the end.

Way to phone it in, other Boise.

Our Boise is stunningly beautiful.

That's largely because our smoke-show of a city is nestled in Idaho's gorgeous Treasure Valley. From our dreamy sunsets and starlit night skies, to our incredible mountain ranges, Boise, Idaho living is picture-perfect.

Boise City, Oklahoma, on the other hand...meh. It's basically our ugly twin sister.

There might be a charm to an endless horizon, but it just can't compete with Idaho's voluptuous contours.

Our Boise is smarter, yummier, artsier, and BOY-SEE'r.

With a growing tech industry, fantastic local food scene, and groovy arts community, the City of Trees is THE place to be. Well, outside of L.A., New York, and Chicago, but you get the point.

Let's not forget about Boise State University, home of America's quirkiest and ONLY blue football field. Not only is it an iconic collegiate football stadium, we hear it's pretty popular with the Smirk-kink-crowd.

But of all the things that set us apart, one is simply unforgivable. Brace yourself, Boisean. Like a litter of uncultured swine, Oklahomans pronounce Boise with a Z. They say, "Boy-Z."

Our Boise has a better peach.

Boise is all about that bass, baby. We have it all: hiking, biking, rafting, spelunking, climbing, etc. Between our sportiness and the glute-sculpting inclines of our foothills, we'd bet all five bucks in our pocket that Boise, Idaho's peach is way juicier than Oklahoma's.

There you have it, y'all. Even though America has two Boises, it's obvious who's the real gem.
