There are a lot of things to love about Idaho as it is but when you sprinkle in a pinch of Christmas? It's a whole other ball game. The state of Idaho is practically made for Christmas and if you think about it, we could technically be the Christmas capital of the world.

Sure, New York City has Times Square and doesn't quite have a name like Santa Claus, Indiana, but there is plenty to love about Christmas in Idaho. You have events like the Festival of Trees, the Holiday Tree Lighting in downtown Boise, and of course the stunning lights in Meridian and around the Village.

There are, however, other things to love about Christmas in Idaho. While the lights and views are amazing, can we talk about the actual vibe? Maybe it's the fact that the area still isn't as large as some major metro areas but it seems that the Christmas spirit flows seamlessly throughout the Treasure Valley.

Take one stroll through a Fred Meyer right now and if it's not the staff giving you warm smiles and cheer, it's the amazing people who will stop and talk Christmas with you. Just the other day, I took my 2-year-old to the store and we looked around the Christmas section. While she was dazzled by the lights and the display set-ups, I noticed that organic cheer from my little one brought a spark of Christmas cheer to the store. People would stop and marvel at a child's amazement at Christmas.

What's not to love about that? So, we took to social media to ask you what your favorite things are about Christmas in Idaho and it's sure to put you in the festive spirit.
