Check Out What’s in the Swag Bags Given to Oscar Nominees. Wow!

It's truly an honor just to be nominated.  Check out what the losers get in the Oscar swag bags on Sunday.  Those gift bags are worth more than ever this time.

USA Today says the swag bags are worth $167,000 this year.  Holy cow!  More spoils for the stars.

Here is some of what's included:

• Holiday in Tuscany. It's an Italian Luxury Hotel Package, with three complimentary nights in a suite at the five-star Grand Hotel Tremezzo. Value: $11,500.

• Chi-Chi car rental. A year's worth of Silvercar rentals, the all-Audi airport car rental service that promises no lines, free GPS, free Sirius radio and free Wi-Fi every time. Value: $20,000

The pile of swag also includes a fancy designer bike with automatic transmission, and $75 worth of juicy apples.  Crazy!

Some of the companies showering the stars with gifts are small brands that are just hoping for a blurb in the magazines and a shout out from the red carpet.

All the swag aside, will you watch on Sunday?  Maroon 5, Jennifer Hudson, Rita Ora, Lady Gaga, and John Legend are performing.  And Neil Patrick Harris says he wants to "out selfie" Ellen Degeneres' famous shot when she hosted, featuring all those stars crammed in together.  Should be a fun show.
