Cause of Death For Antelope Blamed on Toxic Shrub
50 antelope were found dead along the greenbelt in Payette and the Idaho Fish and Game officers and biologists were still trying to figure out what happened. They say now that the cause of death was due to a toxic shrub.
This herd died after about 30 antelope on Monday that were trying to cross the frozen Snake River.
And two weeks ago, a group of eight elk died after feeding on Japanese Yew plants in the Boise foothills.
Check your yards for Japanese Yew, because it's a common landscaping shrub found in some residential areas.
