Cactus Petes Makes It Official Idaho, The Buffet Is Gone for Good
It's the little things we took advantage of like walks in the park without a mask, going to the grocery store without a mask, and pretty much anything without wearing a mask.
I've never thought about how important a buffet was until they shut down. I'm not saying I'm a buffet professional, but it's just a thing at the casino. Well, the end of an era has come to an end according to the Cactus Petes Resort and Casino.
Cactus Petes Puts Idaho on Notice, No More Buffets
This isn't coming by surprise to anyone, is it? You put a ton of food in a long aluminum pan and it sits. People use different utensils, hands and maybe even eat over them. That's your buffet Idaho. This is what I grew up with and I loved it. Those days however have officially come to an end at Cactus Petes.
"The buffet will remain closed permanently. We are excited to see the buffet space reimagined and transforming into a different dining option in the future." That comes from Cactus Pete's official Facebook page.
This isn't the end of food at the casino. If you plan to head out for a ladies' weekend at Cactus Petes to see one of their big shows you can sleep tight, Plenty of food options are being built. Desert Room and NOSH are still open to service everyone. You're beginning to see these open food court-style options in a lot of places. You can bring in restaurants from all over and stock them with chefs to cook those menus.
Concerts, Males Reviews, and Pool Parties are Coming Back
This is a hot spot for those big male review events, big shows and the casinos are adding more slot machines. Keep an eye out for all the roundtrips bus trips that include dinner and gambling. Those packages are extremely affordable when they surround shows. So much fun!
Cactus Petes is currently open and running at full speed (an exception it the buffet). You can find out more at their website.
