According to CNN, Two people were fatally shot Friday morning in a dorm room at Central Michigan University. James Eric Davis Jr., 19, has been identified as a suspect in what campus police believe was a domestic dispute between him and his parents.

This is the nation's 12th school shooting this year.

The shooting happened about 8:30 a.m. Friday on the dorm's fourth floor.

In the CNN article, CMU Campus Police say the deceased are not students and there were no other injuries to any others reported.

CMU campus police say they had previously contacted Davis on Thursday night after a drug-related incident at the dorm.  Davis was taken to a hospital and released.

Central Michigan University has around 20,000 students, and the campus is located two hours northwest of Detroit.
