Boise’s 4th of July Fireworks Show Canceled
COVID-19 strikes again! The City of Boise has decided to cancel their annual 4th of July fireworks show due to the pandemic.
Since moving back to Stage 3, we are no longer allowed to have gatherings of more than 50 people and fireworks draw a crowd. The health order will remain in effect for the next 30 days and according to an article on idahonews.com the order specifically mentions the cancellation of the 4th of July fireworks show and celebration.
Idaho News and coronavirus.idaho.gov says we are currently sitting at 4,402 confirmed cases of the coronavirus with 148 new cases on Tuesday alone and 396 new cases over the last three days. We've had 89 deaths in the state and of course the goal is to slow the spread and avoid as many fatalities as possible.
The 4th of July is going to look very different this year as has almost all of 2020. If you are healthy, have enough money to pay your bills and put food on the table, consider yourself blessed. I know I am so grateful right now to have my health and my job. We're in this together Idaho. Let's do anything we can to flatten the curve.
