It's time to start looking forward to Summer as mothers across the Treasure Valley begin planning. I'm not canceling out the men, but moms are just pretty good at organizing all the activities. So, it's time to add Summer Camp to all those events.

Boise residents are not allowed to register their children for Summer classes, a variety of camps, and a long list of activities.

You never know how many different types of Summer activities are available until you start looking and registration is now open. The Boise Parks and Recreation Summer 2021 Activity Guide is now available with a list of camps, ages, prices, and detailed lists.

Let's start with what's new because I never knew we had Roller Derby Camp. We'll start there.

Roller Derby - Renegade Roller Derby Camp, Roller Derby 101 & Roller Derby Fitness

BUGS Outdoor Preschool - Stop it! My son would go nuts if he could attend this with a very STEM-based curriculum.

Here's a quick snapshot of all the other Summer Camps available.

  • Cassia Playcamp
  • Eagle Rock Playcamp
  • Elm Grove Playcamp
  • Ivywild Playcamp
  • Jullion Playcamp
  • Sunset Playcamp
  • Winstead Playcamp
  • Catalpa Playcamp
  • Rock Climbing Camp
  • LegoEV3 Mindstorm Battle Bots
  • Lego Animation
  • Stage Hogs Camp
  • Little Stars Camp
  • Rec-EM Camp Youth

Some of these camps go from 7:30 AM - 5:30 PM. I'll post a link with all the details includes ages and prices.

Interested in becoming a volunteer this Summer? You can also donate your time for some simple as just one day or the entire Summer. Boise Parks and Recreation does host a variety of opportunities.

There are COVID-19 protocols that you will want to read further in the activity guide below.
