Boise State Volleyball Team Just Keeps Winning
The ladies are on a roll!
The Broncos volleyball team has won 14 straight matches, and they'll ride that high into the NCAA tournament this weekend in California.
There are only 62 teams still playing college volleyball, and the rest have been eliminated.
The Broncos take a 25-6 record to Stanford, CA this weekend to play in the first round of the NCAA tournament. They'll play Western Kentucky this Friday, Dec. 2 at 5:30pm Mountain Time, and if they win they''ll move on to face the winner of the match between Stanford University and the University of Denver. If they keep winning, they'll go to the regional round the following weekend, and they've got a shot at the Final Four in Columbus, Ohio December 15-17.
These girls are good! They won the Mountain West championship this season. Five Broncos were named to the All-Mountain West team. And Boise State junior outside hitter Sierra Nobley was named the Mountain West volleyball player of the year.
You've already made the Treasure Valley proud, ladies, and we love ya no matter what. But good luck on the national stage, and have a blast in the tournament! Kristin Armstrong may not be the only female Boise athlete bringing home a huge award this year. We'll be watching.
