Boise is Getting a New Wine Bar
The Boise Co-op Wine Shop already has 3600 wines from around the globe, and they're expanding even more in 2018 by adding on a new high-end wine bar.
If there's an art to drinking wine, Boise seems to embrace the process and be pretty good at it.
And part of the experience might be to drink wine in a place that really knows its stuff, like the Boise Co-op. They support local wine makers by offering Idaho wines, and they bring in reds and whites from around the globe too. The Co-op is community owned, and they've got a goal of sustaining the Treasure Valley food system with farm-to-family relationships and more than 24,000 co-owners.
Boise Weekly says in the late spring or early summer of 2018, the Co-op plans to open up Uncorked!, which will be a cozy, high-end wine bar attached to the shop. It will give us a chance to ask questions of the wine experts and really come to terms with what we like, while munching on a cheese plate, or an antipasto platter. It will be a small space, with about 26 seats at the bar.
Before the wine bar opens, we'll notice a new mural going up on the outside of the Fort Street side of the building, and they'll start looking for artists to put that up early next year. And then Uncorked! will probably open in May or June.
To 2018! There's much to look forward to.
