This grocery shopping hack has us hooked.

Until a few days ago, we were blind to the powers of grocery store shopping carts. Not to call anyone out or anything, but we're guessing you still are.

Have you ever noticed the loopy-like thingamajigs on local shopping carts? Now that we finally see them, we can't unsee them and nor do we want to. These babies are the silent heroes of grocery shopping trips.

A simple trip to Albertsons changed how we shop.

It was supposed to be an in-and-out stop at Albertsons off Broadway when we happened upon the life-changing hack. The seemingly pointless, loopy-like thingamajigs are actually hooks. Hooks, friend! As in the kind you hang things on.

Jackets, purses, keys, diaper bags, shopping bags—name a bag that needs hanging. They're meant to free your hands and arms while you're shopping. Just thinking about all the years we didn't know about this hack is enough to make the crooks of our elbows hurt.

Grocery cart loops pull double-duty.

It turns out the u-shaped rods moonlight as a built-in safety feature. They're designed to size and fasten your little one's cart belt for a snugger, safer fit. They're also terrific at keeping cart covers in place.

After a certain age or a certain number of kids, it doesn't take much to make most adults happy. In the same way a gorgeous new sponge makes the dish-washing experience infinity more enjoyable, these handy hooks make a would-be hectic trip to the grocery store a breeze, and that's a win in our book.
