Fall is my favorite time to hop in the car and take a drive around our beautiful state. I love watching the leaves turn, the brisk air, and throwing on some boots and a jacket. This is supposedly the "Best Fall Day Trip in Idaho" but I have to disagree and I'd like to hear your thoughts.

According to msn.com the "Best Fall Day Trip" is Craters of the Moon. To be fair, I've never been to Craters of the Moon, but my kids went with their grandparents and they felt it was overhyped.

If you aren't familiar with Craters of the Moon, it's a natural park northeast of Twin Falls that features 600 square miles of basalt lava fields dotted with craters and magma-formed plateaus. During the fall they host tours and workshops for visitors.

Personally, I'd rather drive over to Sun Valley, over hop in the car and head towards McCall.

What are your thoughts? Where are the best spots to see all that Idaho has to offer in the fall?
