Hands Down, These are the 7 Best Burger Places in Boise

It doesn't matter if it's a cheeseburger from the local greasy spoon or five-star dining at a fancy French restaurant; no two people taste food the same way.

While meat-eaters find a savory, mouth-watering burger dressed with lettuce, tomato, bacon, and onion heaven on earth, your average vegan or vegetarian is turned off by the taste of cow flesh. No brainer, right? But that's what's fascinating about the culinary experience. It's also why food critics have yet to be replaced by AI in 2024 🙃 

For some folks, it's all about texture.

Burger texture is a big deal to a lot of people. Even if they love the flavor profile of the steaming hunk of meat in front of them, gristle, over-cooked, under-cooked, and wonky textures can ruin a person's meal.

For example, while chewy meat is heavenly to some, it can evoke another person's gag reflex and ruin an otherwise great dining experience...or turn a first date into a last date 😳

Sorry to disappoint the well-done crowd. Tasting Table says the most popular burger is medium-rare, with a juicy pinkish center. Between burgers and cheeseburgers, it's no surprise to us that cheese tops the list of people's favorite burger toppings.

American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, ketchup, mayo, and mustard reign supreme as the most requested toppings.

At a time when people were putting all sorts of things on burgers- fried eggs, deli meat, cheese fries, peanut butter jalapeno jam, etc.- we questioned diners' allegiances to the classic burger.
