An Asteroid is Headed To Earth & There’s Not a Damn Thing We Can Do About it….Yet

If you're one of those people who like to plan for the end of the world, you can tell your friends that you told them so, because NASA has admitted that a doomsday asteroid is headed towards earth and there is not a thing we can do about it....yet.

The Bennu Asteroid is about the same size as the Empire State building. As far as asteroids go, not huge by any means, but because of its size, weight and speed at which it will be traveling, if it does hit earth, it would have some pretty dire consequences for life on this planet, as we know it.

Now, I don't want to cause a panic, just yet, because the asteroid is not due to be here till September 25th in 2135...so all of us reading this will be long gone by then. However, it is something that our children's children and their children will ave to be concerned about.

The other thing to consider before you start to panic is that even though that the chances of hitting earth are good, in space terms and NASA math...it means that there is still only a 1 in 2700 chance of actually hitting earth.

So in real people math, that doesn't seem like good odds, but in space terms and NASA Math, that means there's a very real chance of it happening. No matter what, 1 in 2700 odds is considered a near miss, even if it doesn't slam into earth killing us all.

...and one final point to consider, by 2035, we could all be wiped out because of global warming, World War III or a super volcano, like the one under Yellowstone, so it might not matter anyway.

NASA admits, there is really nothing we can do as of right now...the technology doesn't exist to shoot it out of the sky....yet. But it's a big enough threat, that they are already working on possible solution to the problem
