We haven't seen much snow this winter in the Treasure Valley, but is there hope for a white Christmas? The forecast is showing that we have some hope!

As unseasonably warm as it is today with highs in the mid-'50s, the temps are supposed to drop ten degrees by tomorrow according to a report on idahonews.com.

Light snow is expected for the Christmas Eve commute and we'll likely get some more snow in the mountains to the skiers and snowboarders delight!

So what about Christmas day? More snow isn't likely, but not impossible. Predictions are that we'll see partly cloudy skies.

I didn't even expect the snowfall on Christmas Eve, so I welcome the white stuff to settle in the Christmas spirit.

When I moved to Boise 4 1/2 years ago, I never expected that we would receive significantly less snow than Salt Lake City where I was born and raised, but the lack of snow has become one of my favorite things about living in the Treasure Valley.

My kids would disagree, they miss the snow and all the fun that comes with it for kids like building snowmen and sledding.

Personally I think we have the best of both worlds. We can go to the mountains and find snow if we want it, but we don't have to shovel it off our driveways every day for three months.

White Christmas or not, hope you have a very merry one and always remember the reason for the season. May your day be surrounded by family, friends, love, giving, and charity, even if we don't get snow!
