The Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline is looking for volunteers to field crisis phone and text lines. They are in need of people for all shifts, especially evenings and weekends.

The hotline team trains volunteers on how to become crisis phone workers, so if you don't have experience, that's OK!

The next training course begins May 2 and will finish May 27. Volunteers will learn active listening and communication during the training.

If you’re interested in helping people in need right here in our community, click HERE to learn more and to fill out an application!

If you don't have any extra time to volunteer, there's another great way you can show your support! A Food Frenzy Fundraiser will take place on Friday, April 21 from 5:30p -8:30p at Meridian City Hall to help support the Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline.

Food trucks will be on-site donating 15% of their sales back to the the Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline. So you get to support a great cause simply by eating from our great, local food trucks! The Facebook Event page says the following vendors will be there:

Mad Mac
Urban Smoke
Kanak Attack Katering
Burgerlicious
Tacos y Tortas El Paco
The Rusty Dog - Boise Idaho Food Vendor
Spoonthumb Ice Cream

Great food, fun, AND supporting the local community...I LOVE IT!
