We have definitely seen a gut punch to our event life in Boise. You don't need me to tell you how stressful it's been missing out on the very things that made us fall in love with this great city. The pandemic changed our lives.

Well, it's been a year since we officially started calling this a pandemic. It was a year ago that everything started to change. We're 365 days into this deadly pandemic and there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel. The President expects everyone able for vaccines by May 1, 2021. Things are moving forward and it's time for your first big run, the Boston Marathon.

I recognize that might be extreme for your first but what a way to kick-off a post-pandemic life. The Boise Marathon is setting up registration now with a list of runs that include the official Boston Marathon qualifier.

  • 5K Race is $25 ending   March 31. That price goes up to $30, $35, and $40.
  • 10K Race is $35 ending March 31 and goes up to $40, $45, and $50.
  • Half Marathon starts at $50 and goes up to $85.
  • Full Marathon begins at $80 and goes up to $145.

I wanted you in the know to save you some money and also to get you prepared. Running a marathon is a journey that doesn't beginning when you take that first step. The training process leading up to the event is the journey. You can just run a 5K or 10K for fun if you want to get out for a good workout. The Boston Marathon? Well, you might want to start training now just to qualify in October.

The Boise Marathon is your hub to this race and much more. Think about what you're going through right now and maybe this is your next big challenge. You have until March 31 before prices go up on all races. The race is set for October 24, 2021.

Good luck!
