5 Times Idaho Was Featured on Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures
Okay, okay, I admit it. I'm a sucker for a good ghost story. I'm not sure why because if I watch those kinds of shows and movies at night, there's no way I'm falling asleep, and if I do, I'm definitely having nightmares.
Maybe I just love the adrenaline rush! Whatever the case, one of my favorite TV shows in the genre is Ghost Adventures. Zak Bagans and friends travel worldwide and stop at some of America's best ghost stories to investigate. There have been at least five such investigations in Idaho.
Old Idaho Penitentiary
Season one's finale was about the Old Idaho Penitentiary. Using all kinds of different techniques, the crew caught the image of a ghost on camera in the gallows.
Lava Hot Springs
Lava Hot Springs Inn in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, was the subject of an investigation on the season finale of season 11. They came across more manifestations in this episode than any previous episode.
Albion Normal School
In season 15, the Ghost Adventure Cres showed up at Albion Normal School in Albion. The home of one of the state's most famous haunted houses during the Halloween season is actually haunted. The actors hired for the event are often possessed and hurt by real ghosts having their own fun. This episode featured some very playful and sinister spirits in the entire series.
Idaho Reform School
In season 17, the Ghost Adventurers came back to Idaho. This time to visit the Idaho Reform School in St. Anthony. Here they came into contact with several lingering spirits of children who died here but never left.
Idaho Tuberculosis Hospital
Finally, in season 19, the Gem State was once again the subject of a paranormal investigation for Zak and Company. This time the crew came to the Idaho State Tuberculosis Hospital in Gooding. You can imagine how this went—a crew member even starter suffering symptoms of the terrible disease.
