20 Arrested in Nampa This Week During Drug Raids
I cannot be more appreciative of the Nampa Police Department who arrested 20 people earlier this week during two drug raids. According to the Idaho Press-Tribune, the first raid took place on Monday, July 9th which lead to nine adults being arrested. Five of those people arrested were charged with single counts of frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold.
Then again on Tuesday morning, 11 more people were arrested, seven of those arrests were the single count of frequenting a place where drugs are used or sold. Which makes me wonder if these people understand that concept most learn as a kid of being guilty by association.
The first drug raid took place on the 600 block of 7th Avenue North and the second was on the 600 block of South Olive Street. As a new resident of Nampa, I love that our law enforcement is taking action on drug usage in the area. I'm really excited to live in the Treasure Valley and hope these arrests take another chunk out of the drug use in our community.
