OPP-How Do You Get Rid Of House Guests

On Other People's Problems today, a man needs a way to get rid of unwanted house guests who cause drama and disrupt his entire household.

My wife's family comes for a visit every summer. They stay anywhere from 10-14 days and it is very stressful. My wife and I have been married for 13 years and they have come for the last 9 years. My wife is very close to her mom and a total daddy's girl. She has a younger brother who is 26 and still lives with the parents so of course when they come, they bring him. My wife's sister and her husband always come too. They have two of the most misbehaving kids ever. Every summer without fail, it turns into total drama. The brother is a complete deadbeat and just lays around the house complaining that we don't have enough to eat, our video games suck...etc. He also stays up all night playing video games and then we find him asleep on the couch in the morning. His mom makes all us be quite and tip toe around the house because he "needs his sleep." Why am I tip-toeing around my own house? A huge fight always breaks out. My wife's sister is an instigator. She lets her kids run wild and tear up my house and terrorize my kids, my dog, me! It is the most miserable time of my entire year.
I suggested this year that my wife's family stay in a hotel because it is too much drama when they are here. You would have thought I told her that I wanted a divorce. She says absolutely not. They are family they will stay with us. I tried to explain to her that the drama is so stressful and it interferes with my job, it upsets our kids and it always causes a fight between her and I. She claims that's how families are. She says it good for our kids to spend time with their cousins and grandparents even if they don't get a long. I told her then I might got stay in a hotel while they are here and she now claims I am deserting my family. I have come to dred summer. How does my wife not see that this a is a miserable situation? I am wondering if anyone else has house guests from hell that come on a regular basis and how they deal with it. I want my summer back. Please help, they will be here in 2 weeks.
