Miss Amazing Pageant Is Amazing!

There's a pageant unlike any other happening tomorrow night in Nampa. You will see some truly amazing women from our community!

The Miss Amazing Idaho Pageant is tomorrow night at the Nampa Civic Center. My good friends, Maggie O'Mara and Ysabel Bilbao are the emcees and I have to thank her for opening my eyes and introducing me to this literally amazing event!

The Miss Amazing Pageant and the Miss Amazing Programs give women with disabilities the chance to shine in the light they so deserve. It's all about encouragement, and support. The organizers (and me) hope the pageant can "bring
the community together and encourage further inclusion for individuals with special needs."

Besides offering encouragement and recognition to these amazing ladies, the participants have the opportunity to give back to the community. Their entrance fee is five cans of food which are donated to the local shelters and or food banks here in the Treasure Valley. By doing this, organizers don't drain the participants personal finances and make it accessible to everyone, but it also helps these women develop the skills to be community leaders and participate in the community.
