Dear Mike and Nicole,

My name is James and I need your advice. My mother doesn't want me to marry my fiancé even though I sacrificed my happiness for hers for 3 years, yet she won't do the same. My mother got married to my stepfather on Halloween. My fiancé and I are both 18, however, I am about to turn 19 in five days. We've known each other and been dating for 3 years. My mother said she approved of the marriage, but won't accept her as a daughter-in-law. Now, she's going back on her word. I still want to marry my fiancé. Should I tell my mother or just go through with the marriage and tell her about it after?
