Locals know there's nothing like the beauty of an Idaho sky.

Whether you're taking in a quiet, pinkish-blue sunrise or watching lightning flash and flicker across the sky during a thunderstorm, the stratosphere over Idaho is really something. But yesterday, there was something extraordinary about it.

"Is anyone else seeing this?!"

That's what my husband and I had been wondering aloud until other drivers stopped their cars to observe the bizarre phenomenon.

Then, one by one, the four drivers that pulled into our community behind us got out of their cars to take pictures of what was happening.

It was 5:00 pm on Wednesday, April 3.

We were driving westbound on State Street towards when the showers that had been pouring over the Treasure Valley all day had let up. That's when what looked like an enormous, almost God-like hand hovering just above the gloomy sunset came into focus.

Do you see it? To avoid leading you into seeing what we saw, there aren't any obnoxious arrows or outlines added to the photo. When we pulled the focus back in the photo below, we saw the hand-like cloud even more clearly.

Call us crazy, but we immediately thought it resembled the hand of God.
