We love living in the Treasure Valley because of our friendly people and stunning beauty. No wonder Boise has become a popular destination for people fleeing states like California, Utah, Nevada, Washington, and Oregon. However, in addition to the increase in traffic and rising housing costs, there could be a hidden dark side to this population boom.

A study by Solitaired has uncovered a disturbing trend: the rudest kids in America are coming from the same places that are driving Boise's growth. The research reveals that cities like San Francisco, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and San Diego are home to some of the nation's most disrespectful youth.

Adults are fed up with kids constantly glued to their phones, cursing up a storm, blasting music, and talking back to their parents. And the worst offenders are teenagers aged 13-17. Some things never change.

As more families flee these places and land in Boise, they may bring their ill-mannered offspring. Could this influx of disrespectful youth be the reason behind the recent changes in your kids' behavior?

While the study didn't look at the kids currently living in the Treasure Valley, we can see that places like Seattle, Portland, and Salt Lake have some of the least rude kids. One would have to assume that our kids would be closer in behavior to theirs than the ones from California.

It's impossible to prove, but with so many of the rudest kids in America originating from the states that are sending the most new residents to Idaho, it's not much of a leap to assume that they are making their presence known in Idaho classrooms and neighborhoods.

It's also possible that the families moving here are trying to get their kids away from the rude ones in their former states.
