Nick Cannon Shades Ariana Grande, Credits Himself For Pete Davidson’s Relationship With Kate Beckinsale
Nick Cannon knows all about dating older women after his eight-year marriage to Mariah Carey, and apparently the TV personality has been passing along words of wisdom to his pal, Pete Davidson.
The 38-year-old has been hosting Wendy Williams' talk show as she recovers from health issues, and during Tuesday's (February 5) "Hot Topics" segment decided to divulge some information about the Saturday Night Live star's rumored relationship with Kate Beckinsale, who's 20 years his senior.
"Last night I was hanging out with my little brother, Pete Davidson. We was in Brooklyn!" he shared. "We were having some good conversation. We were having cougar conversations. I taught that young boy well."
He went on to admit it was because of him that the comedian decided to pursue the actress. "I will take credit for it. I'm the one who told him, 'Get you an older woman, man!' I said that. Leave them little pop stars alone!" he quipped, making a dig at Davidson's ex-fiancee Ariana Grande. "An old woman knows what she wants! She don't play no games! That's what I'm talking about. Get you somebody older!"
But that wasn't the only shade The Masked Singer host threw Ari's way. He also poked fun of her botched "7 Rings" tattoo.
"Them little pop stars, they don't know! They getting Japanese menus tattooed on their backs from the sushi restaurant,” he said. “I’m joking, but that is Ariana Grande's hand. I think that's even after she tried to fix it."
"That's some young girl stuff. Older women don't like tiny barbecues," Cannon added. "They like chitlins and grits."
