11 New Common Sense Laws Only Real Idahoans Would Support

Common sense isn't as common as it used to be. 

"Whatever happened to predictability? The milkman, the paperboy, the evening tv? How did I get delivered here? Somebody tell me please. Cause this old world is just really confusing me..."

Did I just quote the lyrics to the Full House theme song? You bet I did. The show starring America's dad ended in 1995, but they were onto something then that rings true today.

Today's Idaho is losing touch with good ole traditional values and manners. The basics, really. In 2024 Idaho, I think we could hold a few more doors for one another, don't you think? And would it be wonderful to see a youngster give up their seat for a senior citizen or a mother in her third trimester? So many of us have lost touch with the simplest gestures of respect. And it's sad.

We've got to hold on to what makes Idaho...Idaho.

Some of it's fueled by transplant animosity, but most of it is people not giving a damn. Idaho, and especially Boise's Treasure Valley, could use a little less attitude and a lot more gratitude. Please and thank you, common sense, and consideration—as Idaho shifts and evolves into something new, many of us are forgetting what it means to belong to a caring community.

Not all, but many laws in the gallery below speak to the ways things used to be in the Gem State. It would be pretty amazing to see some of them becomes laws one day.
