When It Comes To Mystery Drone Sightings, Idaho Is The Real OG

New Jersey and the Northeastern United States are experiencing a phenomenon that seems to be straight out of a Hollywood movie. Drones appear in the sky from an unknown origin, and no one seems to be able to figure out why. Who are they watching? What are they looking for? Who is controlling them? Are they from another country? Are they from another planet?

Until we get those answers, the country will be looking at the sky with a concern that a drone or other unexplained flying object could be following them. UFOs may be something new for the Northeast, but it's just a typical day in Idaho.

Recently, the FBI has had to deal with over 3,000 reports of UFOs and Drones in the New York and New Jersey area alone. Considering the difference in population, the 1,001 Idaho sightings seem pretty significant. The year started with four UFO sightings in Idaho in the first week of January.

One Eagle resident claimed to have seen "five red stars" in the night sky this year. Ten days later, a school teacher said she witnessed "two blue balls" that appeared to hang in the sky before they vanished. In September, an Air Force veteran saw a "blue light" hovering for over 20 minutes near Hayden Lake.

Idaho's 9.8 sightings per 100,000 people rank us very high for UFO sightings in the world. Some have even purchased UFO Insurance, which covers psychiatric care, protection from public ridicule, or compensation for the insured's family if aliens eat them. Generally, policies like this cost around $19.95 and offer $10 million in coverage. Still, the payout is $1 per year for 10 million years. Not many insurance companies offer coverage, and the ones that do will require you to prove the abduction happened, which isn't very easy.

Most of Idaho's sightings come from one location: Highway 30-E, and most occur between 4pm and midnight, with the 9pm to 10pm timeframe being the peak.

So, while the Northeast is experiencing a lot of mysterious drone sightings, don't let anyone forget who the real OGs are when it comes to mysterious flying objects.
