Miley Cyrus + Liam Hemsworth Celebrate Her Birthday After Losing Their Home
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth may have recently lost their home to California wildfires, but they've still got a lot to celebrate.
The couple gathered with family on Friday to celebrate Cyrus' 26th birthday. The "Malibu" singer's father, Billy Ray Cyrus, shared clips from the small bash on Instagram, giving fans a glimpse of the fun. One photo showed the young singer surrounded by Hemsworth, 28, her dad, mom Tish, sister Noah and brother Trace.
"Thankful for this moment. My thoughts and prayers with so many hearts that need mended [SIC]," he captioned the image.
The birthday girl's brother also gave fans a look inside the award-winning musician's birthday party. He shared several videos on his Instagram story showing her blowing out the candles on her cake.
Hemsworth took a moment to send his fiancee a special birthday shout out. He posted a photo of her surrounded by balloons, holding one of their dogs, along with a short, heartfelt message.
"Happy birthday to my sweet girl. You're more precious than ever. So thankful to have you in my life," he wrote.
The couple lost their Malibu, California home in the Woolsey Fire two weeks ago. Both shared photos of the devastation on social media, revealing that they were just grateful to be safe with their pets. Miley shared a message about the devastation on Twitter.
"Completely devastated by the fires affecting my community," she tweeted. "I am one of the lucky ones. My animals and LOVE OF MY LIFE made it out safely & that's all that matters right now."
She continued, "My house no longer stands but the memories shared with family & friends stand strong."
"I am grateful for all I have left. Sending so much love and gratitude to the firefighters and LA county Sheriff's department!" Miley concluded.
Hemsworth shared photos of the remnants of the home. The image showed concrete letters, which spelled out "LOVE" were all that survived the blaze.
"It's been a heartbreaking few days," Hemsworth tweeted. "This is what's left of my house. Love. Many people in Malibu and surrounding areas in California have lost their homes also and my heart goes out to everyone who was affected by these fires."
After losing their home, Miley and Hemsworth donated $500,000 to the Malibu Foundation through her charity, Happy Hippie.
