13 Met Gala 2019 Fashion Looks That Nailed the Camp Theme (PHOTOS)
Stars showed up in their best at the 2019 Met Gala on Monday (May 6) night. This year's Met Gala theme is "Camp: Notes on Fashion."
New York City is playing host to every kind of celebrity from fashion icons to musicians, influencers, and actors. The event benefits the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute. Donations from the event benefit the Costume Institute (fashion department).
This year's co-chairs include Vogue's Anna Wintour (who serves as a chair every year), Harry Styles, Gucci's creative director Alessandro Michele, Lady Gaga, and Serena Williams.
In playing with the "campy" theme, the red carpet this year is actually pink. The official hashtag for the event even features a flamingo emoji.
One of the first stars to hit the carpet, Lady Gaga stunned with four different looks where she changed on the red carpet in front of photographers.
Billy Porter was carried onto the pink carpet via golden servants who carried him on a throne. His look included literal golden wings and a headdress.
30 Seconds To Mars frontman, Jared Leto, even carried a mannequin head resembling himself.
Celine Dion looked like a vision as an almost Las Vegas showgirl with a stunning headdress and silver fringe galore!
