Blizzard of Aahhh's, Greg Stump's extreme skiing masterpiece changed the sport forever, shaping the future of powder crazed ski enthusiasts across the entire world.

A few of those captivated by Stumps cinematic mastery are bringing it all home to Treasure Valley as the Blizzard of Aahhh's is hosting atheir 30-year Anniversary extravaganza at JUMP (Jack's Urban Meeting Place) on Wednesday, March 13 from 7-8:30 p.m.

Chuck Cremer is one of the owners of McU Sports and the event's Double Black Diamond event sponsor. He remembers being 16-years-old when Blizzard of Aahhh's came out.

"It changed everything for me," Cremer said. "My buddies and I would sit and watch that movie over, and over, and over. I looked up to those guys and girls."

As acting premier sponsor, McU will host a special invite-only dinner and watch-party event in their Downtown location the night before the JUMP event. There, staff members, friends and family will be dining and watching the movie with the crew of Blizzard of Aahhh's while being entertained by David Andrews, lead singer of the band Calobo. Andrews will also be playing the pre-watch party at JUMP on the 13.

Cremer said the decision to sponsor the event, bringing this important piece of ski history tohis community, was an easy one.

One of the coolest caveats, Cremer continued, is that professional skiier and star of Stump's other films Lynne Weiland for him at McU.

Weiland was recruited to star as the lone ski gal' in Blizzard by Aahhh's by Stump himself. Unfortunately, she was in a terrible accident on the first day of filming for Blizzard and was unable to return to the slopes for the film.

Both native Northeastern , Weiland said that after decades of literal and social distance her and Stump have restored and maintained an intense friendship largely based around them both now calling Idaho home.

Weiland was overjoyed to bring Blizzard of Aahhh's to her hometown.

"This movie changed my life, " she said. "I've lived here the longest of anywhere in my life. I raised my kids here. I love my home, and I'm so happy to share this with my tribe. Really, I believe life is all about sharing stories and this is an amazing opportunity to connect and share all the stories this movie has inspired and the lives that it has touched."

Weiland and Cremer both independently spoke about how this event, and this community are perfectly represented by our local mountain, Bogus Basin. There, they said, you will meet members from all walks of life from your community.

Weiland called Bogus a "gem of the community."

We might call it the local frozen watering hole.

Hopefully you are able to join your Idaho neighbors on the 13th to celebrate this momentous anniversary of a game-changing event.
