Kanye West is having a winning weekend. To top it all off, on Sunday (June 10), it was revealed his new 'Ye album is the No. 1 LP in the country.

According to Billboard, Yeezy's eighth solo studio album moved 208,000 equivalent album units for the week ending June 7. Of that total, 85,000 were in traditional album sales. Ye's impressive first week is the fifth-largest week for an album in 2018.

This marks the controversial rapper's eighth No. 1 album, a feat that ties Eminem for the second-most No. 1 albums. Jay-Z owns the record among rap acts having topped the charts 14 times. The Beatles hold the all-time record with 19. The fact that 'Ye has done it eight consecutive times matches a milestone held by Eminem and The Beatles.

West's big weekend started with his birthday on Friday (June 8). The same day, he premiered his Kids See Ghosts joint album with Kid Cudi at a listening party in California.

On Saturday (June 9), he had a star-studded birthday party that was attended by the likes of 2 Chainz, Teyana Taylor, Iman Shumpert, CyHi The Prynce, Pusha T, Kid Cudi, Quavo, Chris Rock and more. The shindig included a cake styled after the cover art for West's new album and a mentalist performing for those in attendance.

Next week, West will have an opportunity to notch No. 1 albums in consecutive weeks when his Kid Cudi collab, Kids See Ghosts will surely enter the chart.
