Major Ford Idaho Center Concert Canceled for Smoke, Fire Conditions

If there is one thing that Boise loves, it is some live music in the summertime.

Concerts are a great time no matter the time of year--especially if you're a lover of live music. It almost doesn't matter who is preforming. Summertime in the Treasure Valley, though? Live music at one of our many amazing venues in town just hits different.

This time of year, it's almost overwhelming to even try and keep track of who is in town. Just a couple of weeks ago, Kaleo, Zach Topp, and AJR were all in town on the same night. Three A-list acts and we had to choose which show to attend!

Lovers of classic, throwback music are about to be real upset, however, as one major concert has been announced as CANCELLED.

Men at Work, the singers of 'Who Can It Be Now', and Toad the Wet Sprocket, will NOT be performing in Nampa this week.

In a statement released by the band through the Ford Idaho Center, the band(s) shared that the show will not be happening this Thursday night:

Due to the ongoing wildfires and unhealthy air quality in the Nampa/Boise ID area, and out of an abundance of caution for the local communities. Men at Work, Toad the Wet Sprocket, and Shonen Knife must cancel our upcoming show in Boise, Thursday, August 13.  Our thoughts are with everyone affected by these fires, as well as the brave first responders working tirelessly to keep the community safe.

According to the Idaho Center, tickets are already being refunded, automatically, at point of purchase. At this time, they say there are no plans to re-schedule the show.
