What The Pink? Boise Fire Explains Strange ‘Stains’ on Boise Roads
Every now and then here in the Treasure Valley, we see something so random we can't help bu t scratch our heads and think...what in the Boise is going on here?
That was certainly the case today as hundreds if not THOUSANDS of drivers were reaching out to ask: what in the PINK is going on along our roads?
If you weren't driving along in Boise today, Eastbound on I-84 or Northbound on Broadway Avenue, you may have missed it. A serious 'streak' of pink was all over the road--as if some sort of unicorn had thrown up, continuously, for miles.
Take a look at what all of this 'pink fuss' was about on Treasure Valley roads!

Did you spot this stuff while you were out and about today?
Did the leak lead to a Pink Pony Club? Nope, not even...just to a local car wash where we assume, the vehicle that was leaking, rinsed off.
The situation was explained online by the Boise Fire Department:
Boise Fire Department’s HazMat Team responded to a reported chemical spill near Victory and Wright Streets. The spill extended onto eastbound I-84 toward Broadway and north to Warren Street. After collecting and testing samples, crews determined the substance was non-toxic. The spill is currently being cleaned up. We’re grateful to be an all-hazards department, equipped, trained, and ready to respond to everything from fires to complex hazardous materials incidents to help keep our community safe.
We're glad to hear that there is no harm to the public--but now, we know what it is!
