Boise’s Magical ‘Nite Glow’ Draws Thousands to Ann Morrison Park

If you spent absolutely any time on Instagram or Facebook over the last couple of days or the last week, in particular, you're sure to have been absolutely bombarded with images and videos from The Spirit of Boise Balloon Classic.

The annual event brings a whole roster of hot air balloons to the Treasure Valley which is nothing shy of pure magic in the sky and in Ann Morrison Park.

Rainy conditions on the first two mornings of the festival resulted in NO balloons taking flight, but they were eventually able to lift off on Friday morning.

Perhaps most magical is what happened later in the day.

This special "Nite Glow Spectacular" lit up Boise's Ann Morrison Park on Friday night!

It's called 'Nite Glow' and it is when the city gathers at Ann Morrison Park to watch the hot air balloons inflate once the sun goes down. Obviously, the balloons don't take flight as this would be totally dangerous at night.

On the grass of the park, however, the balloons are tied down and lit up.  The way that the flames light up the big bright designs of the balloons is like something out of a movie!

Photos captured not only of the magical balloons but of the smiles that they were surrounded by, have been priceless

Thousands were in attendance as the balloons lit up the night sky and tons of local businesses, food trucks, bands, and vendors helped make this possible as well.

Over 40 Hot Air Balloons were in town over the course of the week!
