‘Finally': Boise Airport to Launch Direct Flight to Hawaii This Winter

Trying to fly direct out of Boise? Most often, it seems that the airline gods say: 'try again'.

It isn't so easy--getting out of Boise--unless you're going to say, Seattle or Salt Lake City. If you need to fly to the East Coast? Good luck, things get difficult and most often require a layover in Minneapolis, Atlanta, or Salt Lake City. While flying in the West can be easier...it's still a challenge.

Announced Tuesday, July 14th? A brand new direct flight to and from the Boise Airport, courtesy of Alaska Airlines.

While the flight will be offered only on a seasonal basis, there's still plenty of reason to celebrate. Especially if you're a lover of SUNSHINE.

The newest direct route? Boise to (and from) Honolulu, Hawaii!

Known as one of, if not THE greatest getaways in the United States, the flight will be offered seasonally, for now.

Winter in the Treasure Valley is great for many folks--especially if you love getting outdoors for winter sports such as skiing or snowboarding.

If you're one of the many that NEED some sunshine and go a little 'crazy' during out infamous winter inversions...this direct flight might make travel to some sunshine a whole lot easier.

Pack your swimming trunks and your spirit of adventure, the Boise airport just got a MAJOR upgrade and we are so here for it.

The new flight becomes available starting on December 17th of this year and will run through March 21st of 2027.
